Various — hospitality industry
Until being given an opportunity to use my design and coding skills professionally, I pursued a childhood dream of working as a waiter and barista. I began working part-time while at college, and went on to pursue work in restaurants, cafés and bars and occasional silver service events such as Royal Ascot.
Typography at University of Reading
During the 2006-2007 academic year I attended lectures at the University of Reading's renowned typography department as an 'ad-hoc student', the terms of my enrolment being that I could continue to work full-time and attend lectures, seminars and workshops from the undergraduate & MA typography courses when my schedule allowed it.
Art & Design at Thames Valley University (then Reading College)
After finishing my AS levels I decided to pursue a 3-year National Diploma in Art & Design to develop my skills in pencil-sketching, graphic design and computer-aided art. At the end of the second year, feeling unstimulated and constricted by lack of resources and disorganization within the department, I left to pursue full-time employment.
A level French (B)
Having moved to England from France when I was 13, I took my French GCSE and A level at the age of 16. My fluency in French is an asset unto itself , and the advantages of being raised in a bilingual environment, having attended international schools in France, are reflected in my strong communication skills and aptitude in quickly picking up new coding languages.
Bulmershe school & 6th form college
Bulmershe scool was the 2nd college I attended in England. I received 2 AS levels (Sociology & English Literature - D), and 11 GCSEs (9 of which A*-C).
